Family Felidae. Found mainly in Africa but with small populations in Iran. Fastest of all land mammals, sprinting at up to 95km/h. The head and body, without the tail, are about 1.1 - 1.5 m long, Female’s pregnancy lasts 3 months. Gives birth to 2-4 cubs, w/c stay with her for bet. 13-20 months. It hunts by day, feeding mainly on antelopes. Lifespan: 12 yrs. in the wild Mating season: year round.
